A small thank-you for people who help build SustainAI — recognition, not compensation.

What Green Points are

Volunteers may receive Green Points — a non-monetary thank-you such as a digital badge or public recognition on our contributors page.

Green Points are our way of saying thank you to people who contribute time, research, code, education, or community support toward our public-benefit mission.

Recognition

Progression tiers

Volunteers are awarded Green Points for verified contributions — a non-monetary thank-you, not wages or payment. Each tier unlocks a digital badge and public recognition, never cash, goods, or merchandise. Approximate hours are a rough guide; recognition reflects impact and quality of work, not clock time alone.

Points thresholds are cumulative minimums. Badge artwork and contributor-page spotlights roll out as the program matures — tiers describe the recognition path, not compensation.

What they are not

  • No cash value — Green Points cannot be redeemed for money.
  • Not merchandise — they are not goods, gift cards, or tradable assets.
  • Not compensation — they do not create an employer–employee relationship or paid work expectation.
  • Nonprofit-compliant — recognition only, aligned with our public-benefit mission as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.

For active volunteers

Active volunteers may also be invited to help with Ethos ESI research materials — documentation review, dataset contributions, and related nonprofit research work — under volunteer agreements. This is not public model access.
