Work with partners so AI and its infrastructure operate on a clean and restorative energy system — overwhelmingly renewable, supported by nuclear and other low-emissions technologies, with residual fossil use only under near-zero lifecycle emissions. Carbon capture, durable carbon removal, and ecological restoration are mandatory, not optional.

We envision a world where advanced AI systems — including ethical ESI — are deliberately designed to work in true partnership with humanity.
These AI systems will actively collaborate with people to create more jobs than they displace, accelerate human progress, and empower us to solve our greatest challenges in healthcare, education, clean energy, climate restoration, and scientific discovery.
SustainAI will run on fully renewable compute by 2030. Together with partners, we work toward 100% Clean and Restorative AI Energy by 2060 and 12.0 GtCO₂ of annual global carbon removal — so AI expands opportunity while helping heal the Earth rather than consuming it.
This is the future we are building at SustainAI — one where technology serves as a powerful force multiplier for human dignity, opportunity, and planetary health.

SustainAI is not affiliated with any political party or ideology. We are not Republican or Democrat — we are pro-humanity, pro-Earth, and pro-future.
We believe preserving precious life, consciousness, and a thriving planet is not a left or right issue — it is a human issue. We are willing to work with leaders, organizations, and democracies from across the political spectrum that share our goal of building a better future.
We are also strongly pro-business. We need thriving companies that create meaningful jobs and drive innovation. Our vision is a true win-win: where technology, business, and humanity work together to solve big problems and build a flourishing civilization.
Research Project
Ethos ESI research overview
Ethos ESI is a specialized Ethical Specialized Intelligence (ESI) research model within SustainAI's nonprofit mission. It studies sustainable economics framing, renewable energy transition questions, ethical AI governance topics, and meaningful work — alongside (not instead of) frontier systems such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and Grok.
The model is not a public product or advice service. Access is limited to SustainAI and selected research collaborators. We share transparency materials and, over time, research datasets so others can learn from the work — private control, public transparency.
